DermOrganic Hair care and Skin care Review

Hi everyone I am sorry I got a little behind and haven't posted in a little while.  I spent a week in southern Arizona and then after I got back it has been one thing after another, but I am back and will start posting every week again.

I received the Try-Me Sampler  which is the hair care products. I actually brought this on my trip to Arizona because it is all in small travel size bottles. This size bottle was easier to fly with, but what was left over of these products stayed in Arizona. I was not a huge fan of these products. I loved the idea of these products because the company is very proud of the fact that all of their products are vegan, not tested on animals, have no artificial preservatives, paraben and propylene glycol free, sulfate free, gluten free, does not contain sodium chloride salt MEA DEA or dyes, and it is pH balanced 4.5-5.5. All of these things are great to find in hair care products and on top of all of that the other really cool thing is the shampoo is made with skin cleansers and I was really excited by that. That excitement quickly diminished after the first use. My hair did not feel very clean after using this product and I thought this was just me being crazy but I used it for a week and my hair did not feel clean the entire week I was using this product. The masque which is the equivalent of conditioner was much better; I feel it did its job well my hair was smooth and manageable which isn't always the easiest thing for a conditioner to achieve because I have very thick course hair. Ultimately I would not use these products again.

I also received the Skin Care Sampler and I have the exact opposite feelings about it then I had about the hair care products. These also went with me to Arizona and they came home with me! They are also vegan, not tested on animals, have no artificial preservatives, paraben and propylene glycol free, sulfate free, gluten free, does not contain sodium chloride salt MEA DEA or dyes, and it is pH balanced 4.5-5.5. A little added bonus to the skin care products is that they are oil and fragrance free as well as the fact that the cleanser is soapless. I have dry skin and that has been made worse during this pregnancy so I am very picky about face wash and moisturizer, but it is hard to find one that I like and I love this one. It got may face very clean without feeling as though it is drying my skin out. The moisturizer works great as well and it hydrated my skin very well without making my face feel greasy. I highly recommend the skin care products and I will continue to use these products.

*After feedback from some readers I have found that they all have loved the hair products, but I have very picky and finicky hair!
**Received the samples for free but the company did not know I had a blog and would be reviewing their products.

Earth Mama Stretch Mark products reviewed.

I have decided over the next few weeks I am going to do a series of product reviews most will fall in the category of beauty or skin care.  After I became pregnant, I become much more aware of what was in the products I was using, but like many people I was skeptical as to if a natural/organic product could really be effective as my conventional products. I really wanted to cut out many of the toxins as I could because I didn't want them getting to my baby. For that reason in this series I will share my likes and dislikes of the natural and organic products I try.

Like many people early in my I suffered from extremely dry skin. I tried all the tips and tricks I could find online the main one being to drink more water and applying lotion more than once a day, and using any oils I could find for dry skin. Nothing I tried worked so I resorted to my good friend Mr. Google in search of a new lotion that could take care of my dry skin issues and I was not disappointed with what I found. I found a company that's products are all natural, organic, cruelty free, clinically tested, and hospital recommended Earth Mama Angel Baby. The first product I tried from Earth Mama Angel Baby was the Earth Mama Body Butter.

I have not been disappointed with this product. It handled my dry skin and itching that came with the beginning of my pregnancy with ease. The relief from the dry skin and itching was immediate and lasted all day. The lotion is not as thick as I originally expected considering it is called body butter, but after the first use I was in love with the texture and thickness. It is the thickness of traditional lotion and is velvety smooth and goes on with ease, and each pump goes much further than I would have expected. The smell is something else that I really loved because it is so light and fresh with a hint of citrus; best of all it did not aggravate my morning sickness at all which is very surprising because my morning sickness was very severe and didn't end until after 20 weeks. I did however stop using this product when the dry skin and itching finally ended on its own in my first trimester. When the time finally came for me to start really worrying about stretch marks, and working to truly prevent them, I started using the Body Butter again and went back to Earth Mama Angel Baby to ordered their Natural Stretch Oil.

I have been using this product since about 20 weeks and I do not have any stretch marks on my stomach to speak of.  I use this product in conjunction with the body butter and I am very pleased with the results I am having. I apply this after showering while my skin is still wet to my stomach, breasts, hips, and buttocks. After drying off I apply the body butter the same locations. In the interest of full disclosure, I do have a few stretch marks on my buttocks, but I got those at the beginning of my first trimester (remember the dry skin issues) because that was one of the first things on my body to grow. I also use this on occasion to treat dry spots. (i.e. after a sun burn on the dry skin that follows)

I love their line because they do not charge you an arm and a leg to live a healthier and toxin free life style like most of the other companies out there I could find. This is not the last time you will see Earth Mama Angel Baby products reviewed on my blog, I have a few more products I will be reviewing in the next few weeks or so. I have the Little Something for Mom to Be kit that has the Happy Mama Spray and Hand to Toe wash that I have not tried yet, but I will be trying them in the next few days, and I also will review Mama Bottom Balm in the coming weeks. There are also a number of their other products that I want to try with the birth of my little one just around the corner. Most of the products I want to try now come from the Postpartum and Breastfeeding category, but also I would love to try the baby products once my little man makes his grand entrance in August.

*I did not receive any products or any other kind of compensation for this review

**Update thanks to these products I do not have a single stretch mark on my stomach. I do have some on my inner thighs but I never applied anything there I didn't think I needed to, but I know for next time now!**

About Me!

My name is Amanda. I figure before I jumped into this Blog with two feet you all would want to learn a little bit about me and my vision for it.

I got married to an amazing man in December 2012 and it has been my happily ever after ever since.  My husband is in the Georgia Army National Guard as an officer and his full time job currently is working as management for a log home company. We found out a few days before our first anniversary that we would be welcoming our first child into our personal fairytale in August 2014; we now know it is a little boy.  We also have a dog named Alice and she is a German Shepard and she is the sweetest (not so) little girl.

I am a Disney lover born and raised.  My mother is a Mickey Mouse lover and her love of all things disney rubbed off on me starting at birth. We visited Walt Disney World regularly when I was a child and I have continued that tradition with my Husband. I have now perfected the art of vacationing to Disney World and I love sharing what I have learned over the years with other people.

During my pregnancy I have learned a lot about new products and the things that are in many of the products we tropically buy and use, especially skin and hair care products. Due to me learning about this I have started trying a lot of new products most of them do not have the toxins and things of that nature in them. I am not becoming crunchy or anything I think I am just becoming more aware of the ingredients in products.

My vision for this Blog is for it to be about family and life. The posts that have a variety of topics anything from disney vacations, family and parenting choices, and product reviews. The goal for me is to share with all of you the struggles and success of being a new parent, trying new products that are great and those that I would never buy (or buy again), and giving tips about travel especially to Disney Wold. I hope you all stick around and read all things that are coming in the future.
